Meet SAE’s S-12 Committee at the HAI HeliExpo

SAE International’s S-12 Power Lift Propulsion Committee is on the leading edge of helicopter power source standardization, and they’re taking their knowledge on the road.

The SAE S-12 Committee will meet at the 2023 HAI Heli-Expo in Atlanta from March 6-9, and they want to see you there. 

The committee will discuss recent projects, including twin engine helicopter power requirements, air bleed objective for helicopter turbine engines, performance of low pressure ratio ejectors for engine nacelle cooling, and the substantiation of power available and inlet distortion compliance for rotorcraft inlet barrier filter installations.

S-12’s objectives are to develop recommendations and information that improve the performance, design, integration and safe operations of vertical lift power control and propulsion system as well as to provide a forum for the exchange of technical information related to powered-lift propulsion systems, including reciprocating, gas turbine and electrically-powered engines.

The committee is looking forward to the opportunity to meet with fellow leaders in the rotorcraft and powered lift community. HeliExpo is the perfect opportunity to share and exchange knowledge.
