SAE Books Wins 5 Independent Press Awards

Four years of consecutive recognition for editorial excellence is a feat for any publisher, and SAE International is showing its caliber as a publishing powerhouse.
SAE Books won five Independent Press Awards in 2024, a new record for an industry niche publisher.
The Independent Press Award recognizes the best books of the year published by small independent publishers. These awards are decided by experts from different roles within the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. With dozens of categories and hundreds of entries from around the world, each judging committee utilizes a point system based for key areas including writing style, editing, images and figures, book cover, book design, and overall quality of the work.
“Our authors live and work in every corner of the world. We don’t have professional authors who write for a living. We work with engineers actively engaged in the industry who are invested in sharing their knowledge,” said Sherry Nigam, Publisher of SAE Books. “These professionals hold down full-time jobs and have real lives beyond their careers. Our responsibility is to ensure the process goes smoothly.”
