This course, designed for EV motor engineers and graduate participants, systematically introduces EV motor design analysis and test verification. Combined with engineering practice, it discusses typical EV motor design cases and practical issues related to EV motor technology, aiming to broaden the horizon of EV motor design engineers and improve their problem-solving skills.

Who Should Attend

A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering and experience in engineering are required.

Prerequisites

Participants should have a basic technical background and some knowledge of the motor.

You must complete all course contact hours and successfully pass the learning assessment to obtain CEUs.

Surong Huang

Professor Huang Surong, motor design expert, professor and doctoral supervisor at Shanghai University and an expert with State Council special allowance. He is also a visiting professor of the University of Wisconsin, Delta Power Electronics scholar and distinguished expert of Shanghai new energy automotive industry.  He was the president of the IEEE Industry Applications Society Beijing Branch and Shanghai Branch. Currently he is the director of technical committee of National Engineering Research Center for Medium and Small-sized Motor and Systems, member of the National Standardization Technical Committees (Rotary Motor Standardization Technical Committee and Electrical Alloy Standardization Technical Committee), deputy director of Shanghai Automotive Electric Drive Engineering Technology Research Center and deputy director of Medium and Small-sized Motor Special Committee of China Electrotechnical Society.

He has been engaged in and completed 20 national research projects and is in a technical cooperation with well-known enterprises including Ford, Siemens, General Motors, FAW Group R & D Center, Shanghai E-drive Co., Ltd, Shanghai Dajun Technologies, Inc., Shanghai Electric Group, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., Wuhan Iron and Steel and Baosteel. He has published more than 180 papers and holds 1 American patent and 13 China invention patents. He is a five-time winner of provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress award and has won the silver medal of China International Industry Fair and the title of Shanghai Yucai Award and Excellent University Young Teacher. Shanghai education and health system outstanding communist party member.
