SAE/Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Scholarship

Established in 2007, the SAE/Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Scholarship was developed by the Ford Motor Company Fund and is for high school students participating in the Ford NGL Communities and Powered by Ford STEM Academies.

Ford Next Generation Learning mobilizes educators, employers, and community leaders to prepare a new generation of young people who will graduate from high school ready for college, career, and life- prepared to compete successfully in the 21st-century economy.

  • U.S. Resident
  • Incoming Freshman
  • Minimum unweighted 3.0 grade point average
  • Pursue an engineering or related science degree through a U.S. ABET accredited program
  • Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation - one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that speaks to your involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment
  • MUST BE a current/recent student participant in the Ford NGL Network and/or a Powered by Ford STEAM Academy
  • One scholarship will be awarded each year for $5,000 per year.

 

  • Recipient will be selected by the SAE Scholarship Committee and notified by the end of June.
  • This scholarship will be paid into your account at your selected university in July/August.
  • It can be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses.
