Study on Reduction of Brake Squeal Caused by In-plane Vibration on Rotor 2001-01-3158

To reduce brake squeal is one of the most important issues in brake development. About high-frequency brake squeal generated when the disc rotor's sliding surface vibrates In-plane direction, there are few studies and it is technically difficult to improve. In this study, we have analyzed this phenomenon and investigated methods to reduce it by both experimental analysis and FEM analysis.
