Status Report on the Boeing Model 733 - Supersonic Transport 640301

At The Boeing Company the development of the Model 733 high performance, variable sweep, SST is progressing steadily. This paper describes the SST technical progress made to date and the problems associated with such progress. The operational compatibility of the Model 733 with large current subsonic jets and existing terminal facilities is also discussed. In addition, the performance and economic levels considered necessary to justify design and fabrication of a production prototype vehicle are reviewed.
