Response of instrument Panel Retainer Materials to Impact Loadings 860258
The challenge of improving the crash-worthiness of instrument panels is being addressed using a systems approach. First, the objectives for the instrument panel are developed, then applied to the subassembly of the rigid retainer. Finally, performance targets are developed for the retainer materials on the basis of the system requirements.
