On the Aerodynamic Analysis of a Bus Model 952265

The main objective of this work is the experimental study of the flow around the bus model. A wood model with sharp edges was built and placed at a flat plate made of wood too. Apart from supporting the model inside the wind tunnel, it simulates the ground conditions along the tests, being called stationary ground.
Starting from an initial model, with sharp edges, some modifications were made such as roundings of these sharp edges, in order to verify the flow behavior changes. These modifications originated other models that were tested one by one. The following tests were performed: pressure distribution around the models, drag force measurements, with a balance build for this finality, and the wake study using hot wire anemometer. Flow visualization method using wool tufts was also utilized.
