WCX 2020 Cancellation - Hotel Information

 

Due to the cancellation of WCX 2020, hotel reservations made through the event housing company via the link provided on the Travel and Preparation page will be cancelled automatically. You do not need to take action. If you made alternate lodging arrangements, you will have to personally cancel them.

Lodging

SAE International has negotiated discounted hotel rates for WCX™ World Congress Experience attendees and exhibitors. Using the link below, you can review hotel options, make real-time reservations through our secure hotel booking website, or contact our housing provider by phone, fax, or email.

Hotel reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served, space available basis. Submit your request as soon as possible for the best opportunity of receiving your hotel choice.

Deadline: All reservations must be received by April 7, 2020 to guarantee availability and conference rates. After this date, reservations will be made based on availability and hotels may charge higher rates.

Conference Location

The TCF Center (formerly Cobo Center) is physically linked to all downtown Detroit hotels and entertainment districts by the Detroit People Mover. This convenient elevated rail system encircles the city and provides easy access to restaurants, bars and attractions. The People Mover runs from 6:30 a.m.–Midnight on Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m.–2:00 a.m. on Friday, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m. on Saturday, and 12:00 p.m.–Midnight on Sunday. The fare is $0.75 per ride.

Getting to WCX™

Airport

The Detroit Metropolitan/Wayne County Airport is about 30 minutes from TCF Center. For travel advisories and security tips please visit the Transportation Security Administration website.

Driving Directions

From Metro Airport, I-94 (West side of Detroit) and/or John C. Lodge (M10) — Take I-94 East to the John C. Lodge Freeway South (M10). Take the Lodge South to the Larned St exit, turn right onto Washington Blvd (first light after surfacing the underpass). Once on Washington Blvd, follow the signs for TCF Center Parking.

I-94 (East side of Detroit), I-75, and/ or I-375 — Take I –94 West and exit I-75 South. Continue South on I-75 and follow signs to Jefferson Ave. Proceed West on Jefferson, move into far right lane. The TCF Center is straight ahead on the corner of Jefferson and Washington Blvds. Turn left on Washington Blvd, follow the signs for TCF Center Parking.

Via – I-375 – Stay on I-375 South and follow the curving exit onto Jefferson Ave. Proceed West on Jefferson, move into far right lane. The TCF Center is straight ahead on the corner of Jefferson and Washington Blvds. Turn left on Washington Blvd, follow the signs for TCF Center Parking.

From I-96 (Northwest side of Detroit) (Note: a five mile stretch of I-96 may be closed in both directions, approx. 15 miles west of downtown (between I-275 and Telegraph Rd) — Take I-96 East/ South to I-75 North. Follow- I-75 North to the John C. Lodge Freeway South (M10). Take the Lodge South to the Larned St exit, turn right onto Washington Blvd. (first light after surfacing the underpass). Once on Washington Blvd, follow the signs for TCF Center Parking.
