SAE International Scholarly Journals

For more than 15 years, SAE International's Scholarly Journals have been covering all areas relevant to ground vehicle, commercial vehicle, and aerospace engineering technology, including transportation cybersecurity and privacy, connected and automated vehicles, electronic and mechanical systems, engines, fuels and lubricants, transportation safety, materials and manufacturing, vehicle dynamics, and alternative powertrains.

Our Journals aim to meet the needs of academic and industry authors, researchers, and readers in a manner that is tailored for the discovery, integration, and application of research.

The SAE Journals Program publishes exclusively direct journal submissions—peer-reviewed, original, high-quality content that is not available elsewhere. Our journals follow a double anonymized peer-review process (with a minimum of three reviews required) that helps authors to enhance the manuscript’s quality and to create opportunities for authors to revise and improve their articles through a timely process dedicated to authors’ needs.

Call for Papers Publishing Ethics Policy Additional Resources

For me, an SAE publication can be counted as a mark of recognition in the automotive engineering community. Compared to competing journals from different publishers and professional societies, SAE technical and scholarly papers and journals demonstrate a strong balance between sophisticated and conceptual studies on the one hand and descriptive technical reports on the other. By publishing with SAE, I can definitely expect that my findings will target various audiences in the field of mobility technologies and relevant cross-domain areas, ranging from students and engineers to policy makers.
